With the help of Jerry Katz and the FDT team, our destination wedding was everything we had envisioned and more. My fiancé and I had a few ideas of what we wanted out of a resort, but we didn’t have a specific location in mind and were overwhelmed by the options. FDT researched multiple resorts in several popular destinations to make sure we got the best value for our dollar without compromising quality. Their personal experiences with the resorts they recommended helped us to feel good about choosing a location that we had never visited.

Jerry was extremely responsive and reassuring throughout the process, helping to make arrangements for our family and friends, some of whom had never traveled out of state, let alone out of the country! He checked in with me periodically to make sure the event planning with the resort coordinator was going well and always available to offer assistance when needed. I understand that weddings can be stressful – mine was a breeze and a big part of that can be attributed to the seamless experience that Jerry and his team provided. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the resort and Chris and I can’t wait to return for our anniversary visit!

We wanted to thank you again for the fabulous recommendations - from the amazing resort to the wonderful photographers, we had the time of our lives! It was truly a trip to remember for everyone!! Dreams Riviera Cancun was breathtaking - the food, the drinks, the cleanliness, the service from everyone, the restaurants, the pools, the activities, the bars, the nightclub, the romantic setting, the wedding, the views, the rooms .... SPECTACULAR!! It was worth every penny to splurge on the Preferred Club Master Suite - what a fabulous place to call home for 10 days!!! Our balcony was to die for .... the whole place was worth it - worth all the stress and organization, money, and time put in. To have our entire family and best friends all in one place for several days, in such a great location with excellent service every step of the way, what a way to do a wedding!

I still have tears when daydreaming about our perfect destination wedding and how a great agency made it all happen smoothly!

Our destination wedding planning began with finding the right travel agency that fit for us. We were recommended both online and local companies. We interviewed a few and decided on First Discount Travel for numerous reasons. We enjoyed meeting the team in person. We felt Jerry was able to answer all of our questions, as well as, provide actual pictures of the resorts and destinations. Once we decided on a location and resort, Jerry contacted the local wedding planner for event availability. From that point on, Jerry helped us with each step of planning a destination wedding. From our perspective, asking your closest family and friends to fly out of the country, is not easy and can be very nerve wracking, especially when you've never been to the country, nor the all-inclusive resort. Jerry and his staff helped answer all the questions and concerns our family and friends brought to the table, especially when we ran into a major issue. We ran out of blocked/reserved rooms and our resort was sold out! Talk about bride-zilla! What do you do? You've asked your little brother to be in your wedding and you don't have a room for a groomsman. And what about your photographer? No room! No way! Thankfully for us... Jerry and First Discount Travel came to the rescue! With a stressed out groom and a bride in tears, Jerry put us at ease and worked his magic!!. Fast forward three months later and we had an absolute perfect wedding on a beautiful beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with 48 guests all arriving safe, sound and ready to relax! Needless to say, the trip was a SUCCESS and we have Jerry Katz and his team at First Discount Travel to thank for a job well done!

I was so worried I this was going to be the most stressful wedding ever! After my first call to Jerry, I knew he understood what I wanted and he would make it perfect for us. We had a small group of 11 people going with us to our dream wedding in Mexico. I didn't have to worry about anything except my dress. jerry took all our worries away and everything planned and perfect for all 11 of us. From different flights to making sure we had car seats for the little ones. Our wedding was picture perfect, and I can not thank Jerry enough for taking all our stress away of a destination wedding. Now that we are back home I'd like to thank you for helping us plan our wedding. The trip FAR exceeded our expectations! When I told you what we were looking for in a resort, we feel like you hit the nail on the head. The resort had exactly the "feel" we were looking for and you were definitely correct about the food. The people at Seaside were awesome and couldn't ask for better service. They made sure that wedding went flawlessly and no details were forgotten. After leaving, they sent us a voucher for a free night upon our return. This means when we are planning our return there, we will be booking through you. Also, thank you for taking control of the situation when my family missed their connection in Chicago. It was a bad situation for everybody but they all agree that you were awesome coming up with a secondary plan on the spot and making the best of a bad situation.
