On a sun drenched beach on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana welcomes couples and couples with children to a world of Unlimited-Luxury. This idyllic haven boasts gorgeous beaches, a majestic turquoise sea, lovely pools and lush tropical gardens.
Family sized rooms and suites offer luxury amenities, private balconies or terraces, flat screen televisions, daily refreshed mini bars, and 24 hour room and concierge services. Eight internationally themed restaurants and five bars, located in stunning indoor and outdoor settings provide delectable dining options.
With so many ways to play, from numerous daytime activities, featuring an Explorer's Club for Kids and a Core Zone for teens, a world class spa and fitness center, and fantastic nighttime entertainment, a stay at Dreams Palm Beach will be forever memorable.
Dreams was built in 1994 as the Allegro. The resort was closed in 2007 and re-opened in 2008 after a $22 Million upgrade. The resort is located on a great beach and has a lovely pool area. Unlike many Punta Cana resorts, Dreams is rather compact and doesn’t have a lot of walking. Like all AM resorts, Dreams offers premium brand liquor, American (Budweiser) and local beer, 24 hour room service, no wristbands, no dining restrictions and no dinner reservations. The resort is great for destination weddings (free weddings) and families. The resort has 6 restaurants serving the following cuisine: Buffet, Asian (Teppanaki and sushi), Italian, Mexican, French, and Steak house. The resort has an Explorers Club for the kids and a Core Zone for the teens (not as large or as nice as Dreams Punta Cana). The resort has a small fitness center and a full service spa with 11 cabins. There is a small casino and meeting facilities.
The rooms are all nice with a fully stocked minibar and 24 hour room service. Higher room categories have Jacuzzis and are larger. The Preferred Club offers the following benefits: private pool and beach areas, free internet, access to the lounge with super premium liquor and food presentations, upgraded minibar (hard liquor), and free internet access.
Overall, I like Dreams Palm Beach. The big difference between Dreams Punta Cana and Dreams Palm Beach is the rooms, Core Zone, and the beach. Dreams Palm Beach has a nicer beach and larger standard rooms. Dreams Punta Cana has the nicer Core Zone and Explorers Club and is more active. It also has a larger theater, casino, and disco.
