The Hard Rock Vallarta was formerly known as the Vallarta Palace prior to the 2012 re-branding. The Hard Rock is a AAA 4 Diamond resort located on a nice beach in Riviera Nayarit. The resort is very contemporary with bold colors and all of the rock and roll memorabilia Hard Rock is known for. The rooms are very modern and every room has a large two person Jacuzzi. All 348 rooms have a liquor dispenser, fully stocked minibar, complimentary WIFI, complimentary calls to the United States, and 24 hour room service. There are 4 restaurants and multiple bars serving top shelf liquor, live music, and Mexican beer (Modelo). The a la carte restaurants include an Oriental, Italian, and Brazillian option. The pool area is very large and active, and they just added a swim up pool bar. There were waiters that circulated the pool area delivering drinks (including while I was in the pool). The only negative to the resort is the French (step out) balconies. The resort has nightly entertainment, The Little Big Club (a kids club featuring Barney, Thomas the Tank Engine, Angelina Ballerina, and Bob the Builder), and a nice gym and spa. The resort is very active, social, and starting in 2014, it will include the limitless resort credit promotion. The amount of the credit will be based on the length of stay and can be applied towards spa treatments, golf, tours and excursions, wedding packages, romantic dinners on the beach and more. There is a 20% service fee on all used resort credit.
In summary, I really liked the resort. It’s on a great stretch of walking beach, has a great pool, and the service was great.
