Located in the southern end of the hotel zone in Cancun, Sun Palace is the only property geared to couples in this area. This all-inclusive, couples' only resort features 252 guestrooms, all beautifully appointed with a double Jacuzzi, balcony, 24 hour room service and unparalleled ocean views. Couples rejoice in the spa, three infinity pools with swim up bar at main pool, an indoor pool with two Jacuzzis and a stunning white sand beach. Four specialty restaurants satisfy the most demanding palates with a variety of international cuisines. Active guests enjoy kayaks and paddle boats, a full equipped gym and unforgettable off site excursions to interesting Mayan sites, while daily activities and nightly shows will keep them entertained throughout their stay.
The totally redesigned Sun Palace is a relaxed, all-inclusive couples only high-rise resort located on the tranquil southern end of Cancun's famous hotel zone on a beautiful white sand beach. The Sun Palace is renowned for its impeccable service, apparent from the moment you arrive and are greeted with a welcome cocktail. The all new couples only (18+) Sun Palace Cancun features a romantic ambience with three stunning infinity pools and elegant guestrooms with double Jacuzzis and spectacular ocean views (most with king bed). The Sun Spa and the nearby water sports marina offer further diversions for couples, all carefully designed to make your Sun Palace escape perfect in every way.
The resort is located on the South end of the Cancun strip. All of the hotels on this strip have received a new beach and it looks awesome with white sand and turquoise water. The Sun palace is more secluded than the mid strip properties and is adults and couples only. 95% of the rooms offer an ocean view and all of the rooms have 24 hour room service, stocked mini bar with liquor dispenser, and the Palace Resorts signature two person Jacuzzi in the living room. The resort has 3 restaurants (Oriental with Sushi, Italian, and Mexican) but has exchange privileges with the other Palace resorts (does not include transportation except the twice daily shuttle to the Moon palace). The resort also offers complimentary phone calls to the United States and a resort credit ($750 for 3 nights, $1500 for 7 nights). The resort credit can be used for golf, tours, swim with the dolphins, upgraded wine, and a limited amount in the spa). There is a Mexican government tax of 11% on all services used with the resort credit.
There are three pools. One is under cover and more like a spa pool. The infinity pool is quiet and the main pool is the activities pool with a swim up pool bar. Overall I like the resort, but would prefer the Royal if you want to stay in Cancun. The exception to this is if you will take advantage of the Resort credit being offered by Palace Resorts.
