The Westin was built in 1980 in the beach community of Kaanapali. The resort is located in the middle of the beach walk next to the upscale shops and restaurants of Whaler’s Village. The resort has an awesome beach and pool area with multiple slides and waterfalls. The Westin has the only adults only pool in Kaanapali! The resort’s 758 rooms were renovated in 2008. The rooms are nice and have the Heavenly Bed and shower along with the standard Westin amenities. Any room that starts with deluxe is in the Beach Tower which is 450 square feet. Other rooms are in the Ocean Tower which are smaller at 350 square feet. The Westin has a great gym and Travel and Leisure rated their spa as the best in Hawaii with 16 treatment rooms. The resort has a kids club and is rated 4 Diamonds by AAA. The resort charges a $25 per night resort fee which covers entrance to the fitness center, 2 bottles of water, wifi, and newspaper. I liked the resort, but the rooms can be small and it is on a busy section of the beach.
