Zoetry Paraso de la Bonita is an ultra-luxury resort with 90 beachfront suites and is located 30 minutes from the airport in the quaint town of Puerto Morales. The resort is one of six AAA 5 Diamond rated all- inclusive resorts in the world. The resort is not adults only, but children do not receive a discounted rate, there are no activities geared towards families, and therefore children are rare at this exclusive resort. All of the rooms are suites and have their own name (instead of a number) and are hand decorated with authentic materials purchased by the owner’s wife while she traveled the world. For example, the Mumbai Suite is furnished with materials purchased in India during her travels. All rooms have pillow-top mattresses and 600 thread count Frette linens. The main differences in the room is whether it includes a plunge pool, outdoor shower, both, or neither.
The resort has a wellness theme and has an unique extensive spa. The resort is very eco conscience with an organic garden where they grow all of the resort’s vegetables and herbs. Other inclusions include yoga and pilates on the pier, Lincoln Navigator private transfer with champagne and cold towel, no check in or check out time, Tequila and wine tastings, catamaran cruise at sunset, cooking classes and organic garden tours, shopping tour to Puerto Morales, and unlimited worldwide complimentary calls.
The beach is below average with rocks and seaweed. There are several nice pools including a mineral pool with salt water. There are three a la carte dining choices including La Canoe which is a AAA 4 Diamond rated restaurant. There is a sushi and ceviche bar and a great wood fired pizzeria. The resort serves all premium and super premium liquor (Grey Goose) and Mexican and American beer.
Overall I loved the resort, but beach is a liability. Also, there is a mosquito issue, but they spray organic repellant 3 times a day. If you like unique, small, artsy, wellness resorts, there is no better! I personally prefer the Royal Hideaway or Secrets Maroma due to their amazing beach, great location, and more dining choices.
